20+ Spice Rack Organization Ideas For Perfect Kitchen!
1. Wall Spice Rack Wooden Shelf
I’m a big fan of wooden spice racks—they bring a rustic charm that looks incredible in any kitchen. You can find some great options on Amazon, or if you’re feeling crafty, you can DIY your own at home.
If you’re in an apartment or have a smaller kitchen or pantry, hanging the spice racks on the wall is a great space-saving solution. It keeps everything organized while freeing up valuable counter space. Plus, it adds a touch of style to your kitchen!
2. Counter Spice Organizer
This is another great spice rack organization idea. Place all of your spices on a spice rack that will fit on the kitchen countertop. I love this one from Amazon. It is 3-tiered and can hold about 26 spice jars depending on the size.
Doing this will ensure that all of your spices are easy to find and within reach while cooking.
3. Label with Paint Marker
If you don’t like sticking labels on the spice jars, you can buy a paint marker and just write down the names directly on the jars. This is much easier and you can see the names clearly.
4. Tiered Spice Rack
First of all, how beautiful does this look? If you have some empty space in your cupboard, you can easily recreate this idea. Just buy tiered stands from Amazon and arrange the spices accordingly.
I recommend using the cupboard right beside the stove because it’ll be within reach and you won’t have to wander around looking for ingredients.
5. Behind the Door
Looking for spice rack organization ideas for small apartments? Hang up a spice rack behind your pantry door. This idea is super simple and saves you a lot of space.
Plus, the kitchen will still look amazing because no one will be able to see the space rack behind the door.
6. Spice Cupboard
If you like your spices in their original packaging but also want them to look cohesive and organized, recreate this simple spice rack organization idea.
Buy a few trays and place all of your spices neatly there. If you have a few bottles of the same spices, place them together on the same tray so they’ll match in height and look much better.
7. Stick on Labels
I mentioned above that you can use a paint marker to write down the names of the spices but, sticking on labels is just as easy if not easier.
You can buy some from Amazon, they are super affordable and there are labels for literally every spice you could think of.
8. Acrylic Shelves
This is another one of my favorite ways to organize spices. Acrylic shelves are good for many things, one of them is for organizing your spice jars.
You can just install them on your walls in the kitchen or pantry and simply place the spice jars in a neat row.
9. Label the Lids
Labeling the jars on the side is a great idea if you’re going to lay them down flat in your drawers but, if you want to place them upright like above, labeling the lids is a much better choice.
Since the spice jars are going to be standing up, you won’t be able to see the sides of the jars. Save yourself the hassle of trying to find the particular spice you’re looking for and label the lids!
10. 3-Tiered Counter Spice Organizer
This is another great spice rack organizing idea. You can get this 3-tiered spice organizer from Amazon for an insanely cheap price. It holds up to about 30 jars depending on the size.
If you don’t have much cabinet/cupboard space, I highly recommend you try this out. You can make it look even better by labeling those spices and making sure the jars are the same height.
11. Magnetic Spice Containers
So, you don’t have a lot of space but still want your spices to be organized? Magnetic spice containers are the way to go. This idea is great if you live in a really small apartment or just don’t have that much space to work with.
You can clearly see which spice is which since the lids are clear but you can still label them on the sides if you want. Also, if you’re looking to add some color to your kitchen, this is one way to do it.
12. Spinning Spice Rack
This is another favorite of mine. You can DIY this yourself or just buy it off of Amazon. They have so many great options that hold A LOT of jars. Spinning spice racks are great for saving space.
You’ll only be taking up a really small corner since it is tiered versus when you have a drawer filled with jars or a designated cabinet.
13. Floating Shelves
Organizing your spices could not get any easier than this. Floating shelves are such a simple way to keep things organized. They’re not complicated and can easily match the aesthetic of your home.
14. Built-in Organizer
If you want something that’s hidden away or an easy pull spice rack, you can have it custom-built in your kitchen if you have the budget for it.
This is honestly such a great idea since you can just reach down and grab the spice you need. Plus, it’ll hold way more jars than the organizers you buy from stores.
15. Simple Spice Drawer
How good does this drawer look? I think we’ve all seen those really pretty and aesthetic spice drawers on TikTok that just look so insanely good and organized. If you want the same look, buy a slanted drawer insert and spice jars.
Transfer the spices into the jars and line them up neatly on the insert. Since it’s slanted, the spices will be visible and you can grab whichever one you want when cooking with no fuss.
16. Transfer into Canisters
We all want an organized kitchen and spices in a neat array without spending much time right? But, most of the spice jars out there are extremely small, and the contents will be finished really quickly. And who’s got the time to be refilling every single jar on a weekly basis?
Which is why transferring the spices in canisters is a great option because that’ll last you months. They are much larger and if you’re worried about not knowing which spice is which, buy clear ones and label the top.
17. Hanging Wall Hooks
Did someone say something about spice rack organization ideas for small spaces? If so, this is the idea for you. Installing wall hooks to the walls in your kitchen takes up virtually no space and will look fantastic. You can buy a whole pack of wall hooks on Amazon for about 10 bucks.
I don’t know about you, but that seems like a pretty good deal to me. It’ll take you less than five minutes to install everything and have a beautifully organized kitchen. Make sure you match the jars so it looks aesthetically pleasing.
18. Matching Lids
Last but not least, you need to make sure all of the lids on your spice jars match.
If you have mismatched lids and different-sized jars, your drawer will not look as good if everything is matching.
Your spices will fit a lot more nicely and look 10 times better.
19. Hanging Spice Rack
A hanging spice rack is one of my favorite kitchen hacks, and I think you’ll love it too.
It’s such a simple way to keep things organized while freeing up precious counter space.
I love how it keeps all my spices within easy reach, making cooking so much more convenient.
